Youth Groups at RPC
Youth Groups at RPC are open to the community as well as to church
members. Both youth groups meet on Sunday evenings: Junior High from 6:00
to 7:15 and Senior High from 7:30 to 8:45.
Holiday parties, outings, and games are part of our regular programming.
Youth group is a place to build friendships and support one another.
We participate in hands-on local and global mission projects. During our
annual summer mission trip we serve people in need in various locations
around the country. Bible study and discussions about issues affecting
teenagers today help us to grow in faith and understanding.
February 28 ▪ Meeting in Celestial Cinema - Join us at our regular times
(Junior High 6:00-7:15, Senior High 7:30-8:45) for a game and a discussion of
"Homosexuality and Christianity."
March 7 ▪ Meet in the Celestial Cinema at the regular time (Junior High 6:00-7:
15 and Senior High 7:30-8:45). Our seminary intern, Melissa Gilbert, will share
her experiences doing mission work in Uganda.
March 14 ▪ Meet in the Celestial Cinema at regular times for games and a
discussion topic TBA.
March 21 ▪ Scottish Home Service at 2:00. Our youth will assist with
conducting the service for the residents of the Scottish Home.
March 28 ▪ Spring Break--Youth Group in recess
As always, feel free to invite a friend to any of our youth group events.

Rent-a-Youth
Many of our teens have been earning money for the mission trip by working at
the homes of our members, doing various types of work at the rate of $10 per
hour. The program has been so successful that we are extending it (on a trial
basis) to the rest of the year. Types of work requested have been general
yardwork, babysitting, helping out at children's parties, moving furniture and
books, computer assistance, pet-sitting, hooking up digital converter boxes, etc.
We have a lot of good capable kids who are willing to work. You will pay the
kids directly. Thanks for thinking of our kids! Contact Tara Gregus at
taragregus@yahoo.com for more information.
2010 Senior High Mission Trip
Plans are well underway for our annual Senior High Mission Trip! In July, a
group of 24 teens and 4-5 adult leaders will travel to Riverhead, New York, to
spend a week at the Timothy Hill Children's Ranch. The ranch opened in 1980
and has served hundreds of boys who have been abused, neglected, or who
are going through a time of crisis in their lives. Our group will live, work and play
alongside the residents of the ranch for the week. We are also excited that we
will get to spend one day being tourists in New York City! Each teen must
participate in youth group a minimum of 8 times and give 8 hours of service to
our church in order to be eligible to go on the trip. We have 24 teens
committed to the trip, and 4 adult leaders. We will be working hard to earn
money to help fund this trip in the months to come and we hope you will support
our efforts. Financial assistance may be available. Please keep our teens and
leaders in your prayers in the upcoming months as we prepare for our trip.
