And God is able to provide you with every blessing in abundance, so that by
always having enough of everything, you may share abundantly in every good
work.              -
2 Corinthians 9:8

Thank you for considering a gift to the RPC Endowment Fund.  Over the years,
many programs at our church have benefited from the earnings of endowed gifts
left by friends and members of our church.

The Endowment Fund started in 1981 by resolution of our Session.  The initial
deposit, made expressly for the start-up of an endowment fund, was in the amount
of $20,000.  The donors requested that earnings from their gift be applied 50% to
building maintenance, 25% to mission outreach, and 25% to each year’s general
budget.  Since receiving this extremely generous and foresighted gift, donors
have made hundreds of gifts, in various amounts, for different RPC programs, for
many thoughtful reasons.  Sample donations have come from: estate and will
distributions; the 1987 roof repair project; memorials and remembrances; 401(k)
and IRA distributions; simple gifts of thankfulness; Easter and Christmas special
gifts.

Gifts made to the Endowment Fund are applied to fund designated programs of
our church.  The principal of each gift remains untouched and will continue to
generate income for future generations.  The fund is managed prudently and
professionally, with oversight assistance by the Presbyterian Church (U.S.A.)
Foundation.  The RPC Endowment Committee acts as a conduit between the
donors' wishes and the investment managers, distributing earnings to church
programs on a periodic basis.

Over the years, RPC has used earnings from its endowment fund for many
purposes.  Riverside Presbyterian Church is thankful for these precious financial
resources – now and forever.
