e-mail: Pastor, Rev. Dr. Scott Jansen
After a few years of working in technical fields, Scott was
called to ministry and entered San Francisco Theological
Seminary. He was ordained to a solo pastorate at Grace
Presbyterian Church in Winona, Minnesota in 1992 and
served there for more than five years.
Scott went on to Claremont Graduate University in
California, where he earned both an M.A. and a Ph.D. in
theology. His doctoral dissertation was an exploration of
various ways for reconciling one’s beliefs about God’s
attributes with one’s experiences of evil. For example,
what particular role does God play in relation to events
such as the Holocaust?
Scott is husband to Mary, an artist and musician, and
father to two boys, Pete, 16, and Brian, 12. They reside
in Riverside, IL.
“It is my great joy to be your pastor, sharing your
thoughts, your dreams, your joys and your concerns. So,
go ahead, make my day—send me an email.”
